This source has been deprecated
observIQ is in the process of transitioning a subset of BindPlane's monitoring capabilities to the observIQ OpenTelemetry Collector. As a result, this Source is no longer publicly available in BindPlane. If you need access to this Source, please reach out to our support via chat or via [email protected].
Data Collection Setup
Metrics are collected via the HP3Par StorServ WSAPI.
Enabling WSAPI on the StorvServ Array
The WSAPI must be enabled on your specific StoreServ Array to enable communication.
Before you can collect performance data from your HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage system, you must enable the HPE 3PAR Web Services API (WSAPI) server.
Check the state of your HPE 3PAR WSAPI server (and enable it, if necessary)
-
Log in to the StoreServ CLI as an administrator:
# ssh <administrator account>@<SP IP Address>
-
Check the state of your WSAPI server:
# showwsapi
3.If the WSAPI server is disabled, you can start it by running:
# startwsapi
- If HTTP or HTTPS is disabled, you can enable one of them by running:
# setwsapi -http enable
OR
# setwsapi -https enable
Network Requirements
Port: 80 (TCP) HTTP
Port: 443 (TCP) HTTPS to the StoreServ Array
Least Privileged User
HPE 3PAR StoreServ requires a least-privileged user (LPU) with the browse role assigned to it.
When creating your user, you may choose to monitor all domains or a single domain. See your specific HPE 3PAR StoreServ Administration Guide for details.
All 3PAR roles have read access, unless otherwise specified.
Supported Versions
3PAR Web Services API (WSAPI): 1.5.3 - 1.6
