Data Collection Setup

Metrics are collected via SSH commands from the VNX File Mover Control Station for NFS and SMB storage performance. Data collection is resilient and can support multiple control stations for failover.

Network Requirements

Port: 22 (TCP) for SSH access to the File Mover Control Station

Least Privileged User

Log in to the Control Station as an administrator, then navigate to Settings -> Security -> User Management, then select one of the following:

Create or edit the the user you plan to use for your credentials, assigning the appropriate Filerole as indicated below:

File: Select opadmin from the Primary Group drop-down menu, and ensure "CLI access allowed" is selected.
